I am a phd student at the Artificial Intelligence Lab of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL). My advisor is Boi Faltings. I spent the summer 2012 at Harvard University to work with LiRong Xia (now at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute). I obtained a MSc in computer science with minor in management of technology from EPFL. I did my master thesis at Tsinghua University under the supervision of FengYuan Ren, Chuang Lin and Jean-Pierre Hubaux.
My research interests are in artificial intelligence in general, machine learning, data science, personalization, human computation and gamification. In particular, I am interested in information aggregation mechanisms such as recommender systems, prediction market, peer prediction.
In my free time, you can find me on the slopes, teaching kids (and grown ups!) how to ski (I'm a ski instructor JS-1) or eating snow while trying to master telemark skiing. Outside the slopes, I try to improve my Chinese level.
